ISMA-Kygung, "Work with life energy", is a Chinese way of meditation, concentration and movement to cultivate body and spirit, which also includes health-related aspects of ISMA-WyngTjun.
The traditional Qi Gong science has been cultivated in China for a few thousand years. Back then the movements and exercises were described by other terms such as Yangsheng (techniques for the hygiene of life).
The practical aspects include breathing exercises, body and movement exercises, concentration exercises and meditation exercises. The exercises aim at the enrichment and the harmonisation of Qi. In Western countries, Qi is usually translated as (life) energy. In China, the harmonised use of Qi, its reinforcement and its constant flow within the body is a basic necessity for health and vitality.
ISMA-Kygung is the way by which you can influence your Qi.
For doing so you act on three components: breathing, movement, and meditative concentration. Due to the widely varied ponderability of the exercises involving conscious breathing, targeted movements and controlled imagination, which are also relevant in other types of Qi Gong, the practitioner has an influence on his Qi. He leads it though his body, resolves blockages, and thereby prevents or treats sickness, increases his physical, spiritual and emotional flexibility as well as his endurance and performance and activates the body's own regeneration force.
ISMA-Kygung includes movements from ISMA-WyngTjun, a 300 year old Chinese self-defense style. The experience collected during a few centuries is used to restore the muscular balance within the shortest time. Pain disappears, damaged joints get a chance to recover and to rebuild. Pain which is apparently caused by nothing or by strains such as migraine, pain in the shoulders, the elbows or the foot joints, back pain, knee or hip pain, disappears or does not even show up.
ISMA-Kygung teaches movement patterns, which should naturally be practiced with a long term perspective in mind to allow the body to reprogram itself permanently. These movement patterns have been developed to allow for a mobile stretchable strength. After each practice session you can feel its positive results : you will feel more agile, relaxed and well-tempered. All physical and spiritual functions come closer to a level of good health because within a moving body of a human everything is interconnected. The muscles play a key role and through them we can even reach our inner organs, among which our brain.
ISMA-Kygung - the way to a better health.
